About the cashmere
We source Grade-A cashmere from the Alashan plateau of Inner Mongolia — the only region where the cashmere goats produce fiber long enough (36mm staple) and fine enough (15.5 micron) to qualify as Grade-A. Longer staple means less pilling. Finer fiber means softer hand. Both are why this sweater costs $395 and not $195.
Combed twice, spun in Italy, knit in Biella, finished in NYC.
Fit & Sizing
Relaxed crew, true to size. The piece sits at the high hip with a softly dropped shoulder. The model is 5’9 and wears the S; she is between S and M in most brands. If you are between sizes and prefer a closer fit, size down; if you prefer a cleaner drape with a knit underneath, take your usual.
Care
Hand wash cold with a cashmere-safe detergent; lay flat to dry. Or take it to a trusted dry cleaner. Avoid hanging — cashmere stretches at the shoulder. Pills will appear on any cashmere; we include a small cashmere comb in the box for the first season, and offer free re-pilling at the atelier for the life of the piece.
